IDIS Training for CDBG Grantees
This curriculum provides instruction on using Integrated Disbursement and Information System (IDIS) Online for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program. It is intended for Entitlement and State CDBG grant administrators.
Training Objectives
- Understand the role of IDIS Online in the overall management of your CDBG grant
- Learn how to use IDIS Online to accurately report on each type of national objective
- Learn how to use IDIS Online to make draw requests against your CDBG grant

Low Mod Housing (LMH) National Objective
Introduction to Housing Activities
This module provides information on the eligible uses of CDBG for housing activities, the LMH national objective, and common mistakes to avoid when reporting on housing activities.
Adding Housing Activities
This module provides step by step instruction on adding a new housing activity. Once you add an activity, you will be able to commit program funds to it, and use IDIS to draw funds from your grant allocation.
Reporting on Housing Accomplishments
This module provides instruction on the data entry process of reporting accomplishment data for a housing activity. The reporting of accomplishments must be done at least on an annual basis. However, more frequent reporting is encouraged.

Introduction to Financial Management
This overview module provides information on the financial management aspect of IDIS Online. It includes sections on getting started in IDIS, activity funding, receipts of local funds, drawdowns, and Section 108.
Financial Reports
This module highlights a number of reporting features of IDIS Online that will be useful for users responsible for creating drawdowns, receipting income, reporting financial performance, and reconciliations.
Leveraged Funds and Opportunity Zones
This module provides instruction on how to report leveraged funding and investment in Opportunity Zones in IDIS Online.
