Case Management & Coaching

Overview:

This chapter focuses on ways that FSS program coordinators work with participants to help them meet their goals.  Specifically, it describes:

  • The importance of taking a client-centered approach when working with FSS participants and
  • Techniques that effective case managers use to build strong relationships with FSS participants and provide the support that enables them to achieve their goals, including ongoing meetings with participants, referrals to local service providers, and development of executive skills.
