Outreach and Goal-Setting

Overview:

This chapter describes the FSS program coordinator's role in conducting outreach for the program and working with participants on goal-setting.  It provides detailed information on:

• The functions of the FSS program coordinator at the initial stages of the FSS program, including: outreach to prospective participants, development of Individual Training and Services Plans and Contracts of Participation, assessments of participants, and development of long-term and interim goals.
• Innovative and best practices for working with FSS participants at each of these stages.
