Introduction to the FSS Program and FSS Training

Overview:

This chapter provides a high-level overview of the Family Self-Sufficiency program. Specifically, it:

• Describes the benefits of participating in the FSS program,
• Helps familiarize PHA staff and others who are new to the FSS program with the program structure and benefits,
• Provides a refresher on the FSS program for seasoned program coordinators,
• Identifies core documents of the FSS program including FSS program regulations, policy guidance from HUD, and the FSS Action Plan, and
• Introduces the six online training chapters and modules.
