HUD's Office of Affordable Housing Programs (OAHP) hosted a webinar that explained the requirements described in Notice CPD-20-01: Four-Year Completion Requirement for HOME-Assisted Projects. HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) projects must be completed four years from the date of project commitment. Failure to meet this deadline may result in HUD terminating the project and the Participating Jurisdiction (PJ) repaying HOME funds.

Training Objectives

Participants learned how to:

  • Explain how and when the four-year project completion deadline applies
  • Track projects to see that they are on schedule to meet the completion deadline
  • Request an extension from HUD if a project is not on track to meet the deadline

This webinar was relevant for PJ program and project managers that are responsible for overseeing new construction and rehabilitation projects and/or project compliance.
