The Counselor's Corner: Fair Housing - January
January 17, 2018 | 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM EST
Housing Counselors are often the first line of defense for consumers who encounter discrimination when preparing to rent or when shopping for a home. Helping clients understand their rights under the Fair Housing Act is an integral part of client education. The knowledge required to effectively assist consumers includes understanding the components of the Fair Housing Act, being able to recognize discrimination when it happens, how to file a complaint and making valuable resources available to clients.
This class provides a basic refresher on the content needed to build and/or maintain your competency level in this topic to help you with the HUD certification exam.
A test is required after the webinar to obtain a Certificate of Completion. Only those who log onto the webinar with their personal GTW links via the Internet and who actively participate throughout the session will be eligible to test. Listening only on the phone does not qualify.
This webinar will not be recorded but we will make the presentation available to you during the webinar and we will e-mail it to you with the test link after the session ends.
