This webinar was the first in a series of three webinars designed to present in-depth information for use by Resident Opportunities and Self Sufficiency (ROSS) service coordinators. The goal of this series was to present best practice information on resident engagement strategies, connection with career pathways and use of motivational interviewing. The first webinar focused on resident engagement strategies, related both to initial engagement and ongoing involvement as well as addressed engagement challenges related to specific populations. The webinar was presented live and provided an opportunity for question and answer. The webinar was also recorded and included in the ROSS online guided resource.

  • Effective strategies for initial resident engagement and ongoing involvement
  • How to identify challenges associated with specific populations, such as elderly or disabled residents
  • How to effectively apply these strategies in the ROSS service coordinator context
