Preventing Sexual and Other Discriminatory Harassment in Housing


This self-paced interactive online training module is designed for Public Housing Agency (PHA) Executives, Officers, and Commissioners to assist them in preventing and addressing sexual and other discriminatory harassment in housing. Learners view six scenarios of discriminatory harassment illustrated through brief video vignettes, learn about best practices to prevent and end harassment, and take quizzes throughout the module to test their knowledge.

Training Objectives

Upon completion of this module, learner will:

  • Be able to recognize different forms of illegal harassment
  • Know the legal standards for harassment under the Fair Housing Act
  • Be familiar with the harmful impacts of harassment in housing
  • Understand how to apply best practices for preventing harassment
  • Understand how to respond to any harassment that may occur


This training is intended for PHA Executives, Officers, and Commissioners.
