The Physical Needs Assessment (PNA) training will improve Public Housing Agency (PHA) grantee knowledge about the PNA HUD resources and PNA resources to help house more families, assist with repositioning efforts, and identify capital needs.

This training series will provide PHAs across the U.S. with a series of requirements, conditions, and terms associated with each unit sub-category and improve the performance and management of Operating Subsidy funds (OSF). The training materials will help PHAs gain a thorough understanding of a wide spectrum of topics related to occupancy as well as knowledge on how to develop and implement solutions.

Training Objectives

PHA grantees will learn how to:

  • Improve PHA grantee knowledge about the PNA HUD resources and PNA resources to help house more families
  • Use tools and approaches / best practices to gather the necessary information to compile PNA and how to fund the PNA
  • Use a PNA to assist with repositioning efforts and identify capital needs

This training is intended for all PHA staff.
