NCRC Training: Understanding the Impact of Client's History of Trauma and COVID-19's Impact on Them

This training focuses on reviewing the presenting behaviors and emotional reactivity of clients who have experienced a trauma.
Participants learn how to:
- Recognize and respond when a client is in crisis
- Identify the different types of trauma
- Avoid potentially harmful interactions
- Make appropriate referrals to mental health agencies and supportive services
This training also highlights the current climate caused by COVID-19 and how it serves as a current trauma and a trigger of past trauma for clients.
