Housing Counseling Webinar: Integrating Housing Counseling with Legal Services for Greater Impact

In this session, housing counseling agencies received important tips and strategies for incorporating legal services into their rental eviction prevention counseling programs. Participants learned from examples of Housing Counseling Agencies (HCAs) currently providing legal services in combination with housing counseling and heard what some of their lessons learned have been. This webinar was for HCAs that currently offer these services, were seeking more information on how to incorporate legal services into their eviction prevention program, or were interested in learning how to effectively partner with external legal aid organizations to prevent evictions.

  • Learned best practices for incorporating legal services into their eviction prevention counseling programs
  • Learned effective strategies for providing legal services alongside housing counseling
  • Understood how to successfully partner with external legal aid organizations for eviction prevention
