HUD Multifamily Affordable Housing Preservation Clinics
HUD’s Office of Multifamily Housing Programs is pleased to announce a series of local preservation clinics for Section 236 (both FHA-insured and HFA-issued) and Section 202 Direct Loan property owners and their partners. These intensive, one-day trainings will offer participants guidance on the steps to take to preserve the affordability, structural integrity, and financial viability of their properties. Interactive workshops will help owners understand and evaluate their financing, recapitalization, and rental assistance options. Owners will have the opportunity to participate in small groups with HUD staff and preservation experts to discuss specific options and strategies for their properties. A presentation from HUD about recent Multifamily Housing policy changes and updates will also be featured.
Don't miss this opportunity to get questions answered and share lessons learned with other property owners, partners, HUD staff, and preservation experts! The clinics are open to all interested owners and stakeholders who would like to register. When space is limited, registration priority will be given to owners located in the field office region where the clinic is occurring, as indicated by the states below. Enrollment will be approved and confirmed as space permits.
The Portland, OR pilot preservation clinic was held on July 16 – 17, 2015. Upcoming preservation clinics are scheduled for the following cities during 2015 and early 2016:
