Housing Counseling Webinar: How PHAs can Benefit Your Residents
July 12, 2018 | 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM EDT
This training will include a detailed look at all the financial grant reporting required under the HUD housing counseling grant agreement including reviewing the quarterly report, Standard Form 425 (SF-425) for SHFAs, MSOs and Intermediaries, and the final report for LHCAs. The training will cover properly accounting for the grant in the organization's general ledger on an accrual basis of accounting. Additionally, participants will learn how to review the composition of the Federal Financial Reports (SF-425), how the form should be completed, the meaning of each item described in it, and when and how often it needs to be submitted to the grantees cognizant agency. A detailed look at the various components of the quarterly reports as required in the NOFA will be conducted. The training will also explain what each of the required documents mean and provide examples, and examine the issues found in previous reviews related to the quarterly reports.
