This webinar featured HUD’s Office of Special Needs Assistance Programs (SNAPS), the Office of Affordable Housing Programs (OAHP), and the State of California. The webinar reviewed HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) resources for people experiencing or at imminent risk of homelessness available through the American Rescue Plan (ARP) and how to plan for these resources with an equity focus. Additionally, participants heard from California about how the State implemented Project Homekey and their early thoughts about how they might utilize HOME-ARP dollars.

Training Objectives

Participants learned:

  • How HOME Participating Jurisdictions (PJs), Continuums of Care (CoCs), and other community partners can plan together with an equity focus to develop plans for HOME-ARP
  • How HOME-ARP can be strategically leveraged with other investments to address critical gaps in a community’s homeless system of services and housing interventions
  • About Homekey and one example of a project eligible under HOME-ARP

Who Should Attend?

This webinar was intended for CoCs, HOME PJs and other jurisdictions preparing to administer a HOME-ARP funding allocation, Public Housing Authorities (PHAs), homeless services providers, and housing providers.
