Health@Home: Bringing it Home: The Energy Plus Health Equation, Maintenance, and Active Design
October 08, 2020 | 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM EDT
Online
The Health@Home webinar series consisted of four webinars that provided affordable housing rehabilitation specialists and program managers with information on integrating healthy housing techniques into their rehabilitation projects and best practices from practitioners who have successfully implemented these techniques.
This session focused on the steps that practitioners can take to educate homeowners or residents on maintaining a healthy home after rehabilitation is complete, including the development of homeowner maintenance checklists and procedures. Practitioners also learned how to ensure efficient and reliable heating and cooling through well-designed and well-maintained mechanical systems and a sound thermal envelope. The session also reviewed opportunities to integrate Active Design features into rehabilitation projects.
This was the final webinar in the series. It covered Healthy Housing Principles 7, 8, and 9.
