This webinar discussed best practices for developing and maintaining partnerships that promote a successful Foster Youth to Independence (FYI) program.

This webinar is part of a series that provides guidance on starting and administering an FYI voucher program. From understanding the population served, to developing partnerships, engaging youth, using data, and voucher administration, this series promotes necessary information and best practices for the FYI initiative. Training Objectives

Participants were able to:

  • Describe necessary elements of developing and maintaining effective partnerships to serve youth
  • Develop Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), referral forms, and processes to administer an effective FYI voucher program
  • Incorporate responsibilities into partnership roles that help minimize burden on youth

Who Should Attend?

This webinar was intended for all public housing agencies (PHAs) who are administering or considering administering FYI vouchers, public child welfare agencies (PCWAs), and support services agencies working in collaboration with PHAs.
