The Fair Housing Act (FHA) prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability in all types of housing transactions. The FHA's definition of disability includes physical and mental impairments that limit one or more major life activity. In this session of the Fair Housing 2021: What Counselors Need to Know Conference, counselors received guidance on reasonable modifications and reasonable accommodations, including rights to assistance animals.
