This 1.5-day, in-person training uses a combination of lecture and discussion to inform public housing authority staff about mold detection, causes, health concerns, and remediation procedures in housing units and common areas. The training culminates in a proficiency assessment and certificate of course completion. The presenter is John Rowland, Managing Director, Quadel Consulting & Training.
Upon completion of this course, attendees will be able to:
- Recognize different types of mold that can occur in housing units and common areas
- Understand the common causes and health hazards of mold
- Differentiate between types of mold assessment
- Understand mold remediation and abatement procedures
- Prevent and manage risk from mold
Who Should Attend?
This training is intended for inspectors and other public housing authority employees.
You must have a HUD Exchange account to register. Follow these instructions for registering.
Registration is open to any public housing authority able to attend in person at one of the seven venues. Public housing authorities may choose up to 2 people to send to the training. Attendance for each class delivery is limited to 40-50 participants and registration for this training closes 7 calendar days before the class start date.
