HUD references the American Land Title Association/National Society of Professional Surveyors (ALTA/NSPS) Land Title Survey Standard as required in conjunction with all insured loan applications and closings. This three-part training series included an overview of the ALTA/NSPS Land Title Survey Standard, survey preparation and certification information, and how to address optional items.

This session detailed how surveyors can address optional items listed in Table A of the ALTA/NSPS Land Title Survey Standard, including monuments, flood hazards, party walls, utility-related matters, offsite easements, and earthmoving work.
