HUD’s Office of Special Needs Assistance Programs (SNAPS) hosted a webinar focused on the urgent and critical task of addressing unsheltered homelessness in communities. The influx of stimulus funding to communities presents an opportunity to target resources to address the needs of this very vulnerable population.
This webinar:
- Highlighted considerations for communities on taking a multi-pronged approach to addressing unsheltered homelessness that embeds equity in the process, as well as the benefits of employing people with lived experience of homelessness
- Featured discussions with outreach providers and staff with lived expertise about their work and challenges as well as what has enabled them to be successful in efforts to engage and rehouse people experiencing unsheltered homelessness in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic
