2021 ConnectHomeUSA - Utilizing Public Housing Capital and Operating Funds for Broadband Activities

This webinar discussed how capital and operating funds can be used to support activities related to broadband, from infrastructure installation to resident training. The webinar featured HUD staff from these program areas who covered HUD's latest guidance, including new flexibilities that allow public housing agencies (PHAs) to use operating funds to cover in-unit internet service costs for residents. There was an opportunity for participants to ask questions about any activities they may be interested in funding through these sources.

This webinar was intended for PHA staff and community members responsible for ConnectHomeUSA program implementation. Community members from non-ConnectHomeUSA communities interested in bridging the digital divide for PHA or other HUD-assisted housing programs were welcome to attend.
