2020 Public Housing Repositioning: Wednesday Webinar Series - Options for Obsolete Units

HUD's Office of Public and Indian Housing (PIH) is hosting a 2020 Public Housing Repositioning Wednesday Webinar Series to explain and discuss common issues in the repositioning process. Each webinar will start with a one-hour presentation from HUD program experts; the discussion topics will vary each month. This will be followed by another hour of participant questions and answers.

The Options for Obsolete Units webinar discusses the process for Public Housing Agencies (PHAs) that want to remove public housing units under the Section 18 obsolescence criteria and options for continued housing assistance as either project-based or tenant-based vouchers.

Training Objectives

This webinar will enable PHAs to:

  • Understand the process for removing public housing units under Section 18 obsolescence criteria
  • Identify the options for continued housing assistance as either project-based or tenant-based vouchers

Who Should Attend?

This webinar is relevant to PHA directors, staff, residents, board members, and others working with PHAs to develop and execute a repositioning strategy.
