2020 ConnectHomeUSA - PCs for People and Roxboro Housing Authority

July 21, 2020 | 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM EDT

The ConnectHomeUSA (CHUSA) team brought together Tony Frank from PCs for People and Annie Graham from the Roxboro Housing Authority to talk about their partnership to bring devices to the community of Roxboro and how they made this happen. Participants also learned about how PCs for People can partner with other CHUSA communities across the United States to support computer distribution events, housing authority bulk rate shipping offers, and local career development and internship programs in their five locations (St. Paul, Denver, Cleveland, Kansas City, and Baltimore).

PCs for People is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization incorporated in 2008 with a national reach to provide affordable refurbished computer devices to low-income families, housing authorities, nonprofits, and schools. Over the years they have distributed more than 115,000 computers, provided nearly 40,000 homes with internet access, and responsibly recycled 7 million pounds of electronics.
