2019 CDBG-DR Problem Solving Clinic: Day 1 - CDBG-MIT Grantees

From July 30 - August 1, 2019, HUD is hosting a Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) Problem Solving Clinic to educate CDBG-DR and CDBG Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) grantees on how to successfully and compliantly implement their programs.
Day 1 (July 30) is for CDBG-MIT grantees and their subrecipient staff only.
Days 2 and 3 (July 31 - August 1) are for all active CDBG-DR grantees and their subrecipient staff only.
The Clinic will include trainings, peer to peer sessions, and one-on-one meetings with HUD and CDBG-DR expert staff to help grantees understand:
- CDBG-DR specific rules and requirements
- Federal Register Notices applicable to their allocation
- Cross Cutting Requirements
- Disaster Recovery Grant Reporting (DRGR) troubleshooting
- Useful tips and best practices for launching, designing, and implementing a CDBG-DR and CDBG-MIT program
Registration Instructions and Approval Process
You must have a HUD Exchange account to register. Follow these instructions for registering.
Your enrollment request does not guarantee approval to attend. The registrar will review your eligibility to attend before your request is accepted.
You will receive a confirmation email entitled "Confirmation - CDBG-DR Problem Solving Clinic" once your request has been accepted.
DO NOT BOOK ANY NON-REFUNDABLE TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS UNTIL YOU RECEIVE A CONFIRMATION EMAIL TO ATTEND THE CLINIC.
HUD cannot be responsible for penalties incurred due to cancelled arrangements
Attendees Allowed Per Grantee
Grantees awarded funds for 2018 disasters (recently announced): Allowed up to 10 attendees (including grantee and subrecipient staff).
Grantees awarded funds in 2017 or later: Allowed up to 10 attendees (including grantee and subrecipient staff).
Grantees awarded funds in other years: Allowed up to 5 attendees (including grantee and subrecipient staff).
Additional grantee and subrecipient staff will be waitlisted and permitted to attend if the training does not reach capacity.
Grantees and subrecipients interested in attending the Clinic are encouraged to coordinate to remain under the attendee limit.
Due to high demand and limited availability, for-profit corporation staff and consultants are not permitted to register for the CDBG-DR Problem Solving Clinic.
