This webinar series served as guidance to help ConnectHome participating communities achieve their goals in connecting households to broadband and assisting communities in their digital literacy efforts. Presenters discussed topics in the ConnectHome Playbook and best practice examples from participating communities.

Funding from HUD’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program can be used to promote access to broadband in a variety of ways: to acquire, install, or improve broadband access services, promote digital literacy, and fund businesses that focus on broadband access and technology. States and cities that allocate CDBG funding can decide whether to fund activities that promote broadband access.

Participants heard from James Höemann, Deputy Director of the State & Small Cities Division, about how to tap into local CDBG resources and how they can be used to support your ConnectHome program.
