2017-2018 ConnectHome - Leveraging Stakeholder Volunteer Programs

This month’s ConnectHome webinar featured speakers from two ConnectHome pilot communities that have successfully leveraged community resources to recruit and engage volunteers in support of their ConnectHome efforts.

Amy Pierce and Marian Christmon of the Nashville Public Library System explained the process they use to recruit volunteers from across Nashville to support their initiatives. Vernua Noble-Hanrahan from the Memphis Housing Authority (MHA) described how MHA has leveraged partnerships to recruit volunteers.

  • Understand concepts to help meet ConnectHome program goals
  • Learn ConnectHome community best practices

Who Should Attend?

Public Housing Authority (PHA) staff and community members responsible for ConnectHome program implementation should attend. Community members from non-ConnectHome communities interested in bridging the digital divide for PHA or other HUD-assisted housing programs were welcome to attend.
