CARES Act Virtual Conferences

These Conferences provide workshop-style training providing guidance and clarification to increase the basic understanding of grantees as they work to meet the needs of their program's targeted constituents who need assistance during, or economic recovery from, the Coronavirus pandemic. The conferences are intended for all grantees that have applied for and recieved HUD CARES Act Funding in response to COVID-19.

CARES Act Overview

The CARES Act makes $5 billion in Community Development Block Grant Coronavirus (CDBG-CV) response funds available to CDBG grantees, $4 billion in Emergency Solutions Grants Coronavirus (ESG-CV) response funds available to ESG grantees, and $65 million in Housing Opportunities for Persons With HIV/AIDS Coronavirus (HOPWA-CV) response funds available to HOPWA grantees. All Coronavirus funding must be used to prevent, prepare for, and respond to the Coronavirus pandemic.

2022 CARES Act Conference

This five-day Conference features two days of topic-based sessions covering CDBG-CV, ESG-CV, and HOPWA-CV programs, followed by two concurrent three-day courses of Basically CDBG/CDBG-CV that focus on the implementation of annual and CARES Act funds for preventing, preparing for, and responded to COVID-19.
