HOME PJs and HOME Allocations

PJs should explain to potential partners that HOME is a formula-based entitlement program whose primary purpose is to provide affordable housing for low-income and VLI households. HUD makes annual HOME allocations of funds to eligible localities, states, and consortia of contiguous local jurisdictions that join together for the purpose of receiving HOME funds.

The amount of a PJ’s annual allocation is based on a formula that reflects the jurisdiction’s need and an annual appropriation from Congress. States always receive at least $3 million. View the List of PJs and their Annual Allocations.
