Assistance Amounts and HOME Per-Unit Subsidy Limits
PJs must explain to potential OZ partners how they generally determine the amount of HOME assistance provided to a project, including the PJ’s underwriting and subsidy layering guidelines. The amount of assistance may be based on gap financing, PJ-established subsidy limits, or cost allocation based on the number of units that will be designated as HOME-assisted. When establishing HOME assistance amounts, potential partners will need to know that subsidy limits cannot exceed HOME Maximum Per-Unit Subsidy Limits.
