With home foreclosures on the rise and fewer public service dollars available, homeless older adults (62+) are among the fastest growing and most vulnerable homeless populations in Los Angeles, a study has found. The new strategic plan by Shelter Partnership, Inc., along with its key findings and policy recommendations, was released and discussed on March 20, 2008 at a special meeting of the Los Angeles City Council's Ad Hoc Committee on Homelessness, at New Image Emergency Shelter near downtown, where the field research was conducted.
