There are a broad range of resilience actions local and state governments can implement to address impacts from various climate hazards. Establishing a single-family retrofit program is a viable option for building resilience to a range of hazards associated with climate change, including sea level rise and inland flooding, drought, wildfire, and extreme heat.
This Climate Resilience Implementation Guide provides step-by-step instructions to assist communities in implementing a single-family retrofit program. Grantees are encouraged to use this guide for suggestions on how to effectively use Community Planning and Development (CPD)-funded programs and other resources to design and implement such solutions.
