There are a broad range of resilience actions local and state governments can implement to address impacts from various climate hazards. Establishing a cool roofs project or program is a viable option for building resilience to rising temperatures and heat related natural hazards.

This Climate Resilience Implementation Guide provides step-by-step instructions to assist communities in implementing a cool roofs project or program. Grantees are encouraged to use this Guide for suggestions on how to effectively use Community Planning and Development (CPD)-funded programs and other resources to design and implement such solutions.
