Description

The National Environmental Justice Advisory Council (NEJAC) considers public participation crucial in ensuring that decisions affecting human health and the environment embrace environmental justice. To facilitate such public participation, the NEJAC requested that its Public Participation and Accountability Subcommittee develop the Model Plan for Public Participation. This resource consists of recommendations for methods by which the EPA can institutionalize public participation in its environmental programs.
