This website provides information and links to all of the approved Jump Start Action Plans and updated zoning ordinances made within Imagine Central Arkansas 'Jump Start' areas.
The Jump Start program was designed to 'jump start' the long range Imagine Central Arkansas regional plan and provide examples of how sustainable development can be implemented in the central Arkansas region at the local level. Seven locations were chosen across the region for sub-area pilot plans; these detailed sub-area plans revised municipal zoning and development codes with the goal of attracting private developers to concentrate development in mixed-use corridors and town centers.
Jump Start projects were completed in two locations in North Little Rock, the City of Little Rock, the City of Bryant, the City of Conway, the City of Vilonia, and the City of Mayflower.
