Title V Property Survey: Federal Property Information Checklist

Title V of the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act of 1987, as amended November 29, 1990, and Public Law 101-645 (42 USC 11411), enables eligible organizations to use unutilized, underutilized, excess, or surplus federal properties as facilities that assist homeless persons.

Federal landholding agencies are required to use the Title V Property Survey Federal Property Information Checklist (Rev. 11/89) (Title V Checklist) to submit the information about the property for a suitability determination. Agencies should complete the form in its entirety and are strongly encouraged to use the Title V User Guide to assist in completing the Title V checklist.
