This document is intended for HPRP grantees and subgrantees seeking information on lead-based paint requirements under the HPRP program. This document summarizes the lead-based paint requirements and provides guidance for carrying out each step. To prevent lead-poisoning in young children, HPRP grantees must comply with the Lead-Based Paint Poisoning Prevention Act of 1973 and its applicable regulations found at 24 CFR 35, Parts A, B, M, and R.
