- YHDP Listening Sessions
On March 17 and March 24, 2016, HUD invited members of the public to participate in discussions to inform the development of the upcoming Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program. Participants shared their experiences as part of their community's crisis response system, and how HUD might help strengthen their community's coordinated response to end youth homelessness.
511 members of the public from 47 states participated in the listening sessions and offered their advice from a variety of different perspectives. The following chart provides a snapshot of the types of organizations those participants represent:

The listening sessions included a verbal feedback component where participants responded over the phone, and a text feedback component where participants shared their thoughts via an electronic chat box.
