Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program
The Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program (YHDP) is an exciting new initiative designed to reduce the number of youth experiencing homelessness. The goal of the YHDP is to support selected communities, including rural, suburban, and urban areas across the United States, in the development and implementation of a coordinated community approach to preventing and ending youth homelessness. Additionally, HUD is committed to sharing that experience of YHDP communities and mobilizing communities around the country toward the same end.
FY 2021 NOFO
The FY 2021 YHDP Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for Round 6 was published on March 24, 2022. The due date was June 28, 2022.
Overview of Past Funding Rounds
The YHDP Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) application process is designed to identify the communities that HUD will select to participate in YHDP. It is not designed to identify and assess specific projects for funding. The project application process will occur after HUD has announced the selected communities.
YHDP funding is awarded in rounds that align with a specific Fiscal Year (FY).
