This handbook is the primary source for HUD real estate acquisition and relocation policy and procedures when implementing HUD funded programs.

This chapter provides guidance to HUD staff monitoring relocation and real property acquisition activities for Community Planning and Development (CPD) programs and projects. Chapter 25 supersedes former HUD Handbook 1374 (Tenant Assistance, Relocation and Real Property Acquisition).
Note: Chapter 25 guidance may also be used for monitoring relocation and real property acquisition activities for certain programs administered by the Office of Housing and the Office of Public and Indian Housing.
