Sacha Markano-Stark is an attorney at Relman Colfax PLLC, where she practices in both the civil rights counseling and litigation groups. As part of the firm’s civil rights counseling work, Sacha advises financial institutions on compliance and best practices relating to fair lending and fair banking, including questions arising under the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, the Fair Housing Act, and federal and state antidiscrimination statutes. Sacha also counsels banks, mortgage servicers, nonprofits, and technology companies on a range of civil-rights and antidiscrimination issues, including tech bias, racial discrimination, voting rights, and affirmative lending programs.
Prior to joining Relman Colfax, Sacha was an associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP, where her practice focused on complex civil litigation, internal investigations, and corporate compliance; anti-corruption and anti-bribery; and data security. Previously, she clerked in federal trial and appellate court.
