The Office of Housing Counseling’s Bridge Team

One might assume that the mission of the HUD Office of Housing Counseling’s “Bridge Team” is to create a “bridge” to and from the Office of Housing Counseling and the housing counseling community, which includes counseling agencies, clients, and stakeholders. The purpose of theonline Bridge Newsletter is to share news and information, as well as stories of success within the industry.

Bridge Newsletter is highly successful thanks to a team of dedicated Office of Housing Counseling staff who take on the duty of authoring articles, in addition to their day-to-day responsibilities and Point of Contact duties. The team consistently provides its readers with articles that apply to current trends in the housing counseling industry. They also publish true stories highlighting the benefits and successful outcomes of individuals and families receiving housing counseling from HUD-approved agencies. Although half of the articles are written by Bridge Team members, the remainder of the newsletter’s content comes from the readers themselves and is edited for publication by the Bridge Team.
