Social Media and Media Relations

The Social Media 101 Toolkit provides counselors with the knowledge needed to establish a social media presence and engage with consumers online. Within this toolkit, counselors will find everything they need to disseminate information about HUD-approved housing counseling to their valued clients and ultimately increase awareness of HUD-approved housing counseling.

The Media Relations Toolkit assists Housing Counseling Agencies (HCAs) in understanding how the local media in their communities are powerful influencers of consumers and can work to engage with them to raise awareness about counseling services. This toolkit provides best practices and tips for communicating with the media to help agencies with their media relations outreach.
