The Housing Counseling Federal Advisory Committee (HCFAC) was established to advise HUD’s Office of Housing Counseling (OHC) to meet its mission to provide individuals and families with the knowledge they need to obtain, sustain, and improve their housing through a strong national network of HUD-approved housing counseling agencies and HUD certified counselors. The HCFAC consists of 12 individuals. The memberships represent the mortgage and real estate industry, consumers and HUD-approved housing counseling agencies.

HUD convened the first meeting of the HCFAC on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. The meeting was held at HUD Headquarters, 451 7th Street SW., Washington, DC 20410 and via conference phone. The public was invited to attend.
