- 50 Years of Housing Counseling
This video highlights the impact housing counselors have had on consumers and the housing industry during the last 50 years. Acknowledging 50 Years depicts housing counseling in a meaningful way, featuring interviews of HUD Secretary Ben Carson, Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Office of Housing Counseling Sarah Gerecke, industry stakeholders, housing counselors, and consumers.
To celebrate Homeownership Month, the Office of Housing Counseling (OHC) hosted a half day conference, Building Tomorrow Together, to explore emerging housing counseling industry issues. The event featured three panels: Maximizing the Value of Housing Counseling; The Changing Face of Housing Counseling for Consumers; and What’s on the Horizon for Housing Counseling?
