VAWA/HOPWA Demonstration Initiative
In 2016, in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) Office on Violence Against Women (OVW), HUD awarded joint funding to eight demonstration projects across the U.S. to provide housing assistance and supportive services to low-income persons living with HIV/AIDS who were homeless or in need of housing assistance due to Intimate Partner Violence (IPV).
These three videos highlight lessons learned and key factors to consider in addressing the intersection of HIV and intimate partner violence (IPV), which includes domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking.
