The Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) (Public Law 116-136), signed into law on March 27, 2020, made available $5 billion in supplemental Community Development Block Grant (CDBG-CV) funding to prevent, prepare for and respond to the coronavirus. Grantees are in various stages of developing and implementing CDBG-CV programs and activities to prevent, prepare for, and respond to coronavirus in their communities. This Toolkit categorizes and organizes CDBG-CV specific and relevant tools and training resources in one location to foster quick and easy access.
If, after using the resources and guidance in this Toolkit, you are considering a proposed use of CDBG-CV funds and you remain uncertain whether it will meet the program requirements, you can submit your question to the CDBG-CV Ask a Question (AAQ) desk available on the HUD Exchange. The experts on the AAQ desk will respond and provide guidance to help you find the answer.
Finally, as always, keep in touch with your HUD Field Office staff. They may have fielded similar questions and are also available to assist you.
