Due to the lapse in Congressional Appropriations for Fiscal Year 2019, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is closed. This website is supported by a cooperative agreement funded under a prior appropriation. Current functions will remain operational but no new functions will be added during the lapse in appropriations. For more information, see HUD Contingency Plan for Possible Lapse in Appropriations.

Youth Collaboration Webinar: Register Today

October 29, 2018 Print ShareThis

Update: Materials are now posted on the Youth Collaboration Webinar page.

Whenever decisions are being made that impact young people, it’s important that youth are at the table and have equitable decision-making responsibilities. This can happen through a variety of approaches: working with young people to establish a youth leadership body, including one or more youth representatives on a board of directors, or creating opportunities for young people to speak for themselves. Young people who are receiving services should be encouraged to participate in decisions that directly impact their housing and well-being.

Please join HUD and True Colors Fund to learn about how your community can create authentic and meaningful partnerships with youth who have experienced housing instability or homelessness.

We are hosting two webinars on different dates with the same content to explore authentic youth collaboration: Tuesday, November 13, 2018 Webinar from 2:00 - 4:00 PM EST and Thursday, November 15, 2018 Webinar from 3:00 - 5:00 PM EST.
