Updated CPD Memo: HOME Program Requirements COVID-19 Waivers and Suspensions
HUD has published a new memorandum, effective as of September 30, 2021, that updates and revises the memorandum, Revision, Extension and Update of April 2020 Memorandum Availability of Waivers and Suspensions of the HOME Program Requirements in Response to COVID-19 Pandemic, issued on December 4, 2020 (the “December 2020 Memo”).
The April 2020 memorandum, issued on April 10, 2020 (the “April 2020 Memo”), announced the availability of certain statutory suspensions and regulatory waivers to enable HOME Participating Jurisdictions (PJs) affected by the COVID-19 pandemic to use HOME funds to address immediate housing needs and to help prevent spread of the virus.
The December 2020 Memo extended certain statutory suspensions and regulatory waivers described in the April 2020 Memo through September 30, 2021 and added a new statutory suspension and regulatory waiver.
This memorandum amends the December 2020 Memo to further revise or extend certain statutory suspensions and regulatory waivers.
