Reporting System Performance Measures: Submission Deadline Extended to June 5, 2017
HUD's system performance measures are critical indicators for how a community is working to end homelessness. HUD is aware that communities are facing several challenges with their data, from Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) software concerns to data quality issues, as they are in the process of submitting their system performance measures data. As a result, HUD has decided to extend the submission deadline until Monday, June 5, 2017 7:59:59 PM EDT to provide Continuums of Care (CoCs) with enough time to run updated reports and submit data to HUD's Homelessness Data Exchange (HDX) web portal.
CoCs must submit their 2016 System Performance Measures data by the new deadline to meet the HUD reporting requirement. Meeting the data submission deadline is a factor considered by HUD in the FY 2017 CoC Program Competition.
The following resources are available to Continuums of Care as they prepare to submit their data:
- A detailed Data Submission Manual on entering FY 2016 System Performance Measures data via the HDX is available for download from the System Performance Measures page at the HUD Exchange website.
- A recording of the March 30, 2017 Data Submission Guidance Webinar is now posted to the System Performance Measures page at the HUD Exchange website, including a list of questions and answers asked during the webinar.
- If you have technical issues with your HDX submission, under "My question is related to:" select "HDX Homelessness Data Exchange (including PIT, HIC, AHAR, Sys PM, and PDX)."
- If you have questions about the calculation of the measures, under "My question is related to:" select "HMIS."
