Update: Materials are now posted on the HOPWA COVID-19 Webinar – Delivering Supportive Services as a COVID-19 Responses Webinar page.
The Office of HIV/AIDS Housing (OHH) is hosting a webinar for Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS (HOPWA) formula and competitive grantees and project sponsors related to expanded opportunities to use HOPWA supportive services activities as part of a community’s strategic response to COVID-19.
The webinar provides information on how HOPWA-funded supportive services, such as nutrition and transportation services, can be used to respond to and protect individuals and households from COVID-19. Presenters cover the two memorandums explaining the availability of waivers:
- CPD Memo: Availability of Waivers of CPD Grant Program and Consolidated Plan Requirements to Prevent the Spread of COVID-19 and Mitigate Economic Impacts Caused by COVID-19 for CoC, ESG, and HOPWA
- CPD Memo: Availability of Additional Waivers for CPD Grant Programs to Prevent the Spread of COVID-19 and Mitigate Economic Impacts Caused by COVID-19
Presenters outline guidance and other programmatic flexibilities to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and to facilitate assistance to eligible households.
OHH staff and Technical Assistance (TA) providers provide information and answer participant questions related to the use of supportive services as a strategy and cover some Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) posed by HOPWA grantees and project sponsors on funding supportive services in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
